Rather than write an extensive Instagram post, I figured I'd finally put the blog page to use and what better time to do so, than a post about the changes coming to B&C Co. in 2016. Officially, B&C Co. won’t be a year old until February 8th, but we're going into the New Year with a lot of really great things planned.
1) Shipping fulfillment times.
I've been very aware of the extended amount of time it took to get some of your orders out. It has bothered me greatly, and is something I've always acknowledged when brought up and have constantly had on my mind to try and improve. The main issue causing shipping delays is simply due to the volume of orders being processed. Near the end of this year, I was (and still am) processing around 2,000 orders a week. Note, I was still doing this mainly by myself with occasional help, but nothing fast enough to prevent the order queue from getting trampled over night. Starting with our 1/4/2016 launch, all items that are not listed as a pre-order, or if the order does not contain an item listed as back-ordered, will ship within 48 hours.
This will be possible due to our new facility, which you’ve all hopefully seen pictures of by now. The facility has allowed us to set up proper shipping stations for up to 6 people at once. In addition to our 48 hour order fulfillment, we will also offer Priority Mail upgrades on all orders.
2) Policies:
Our refund/exchange order will remain the same for items such as Lapel Pins, Brooches, Patches, Cuffs, etcetera; no returns, exchanges or refunds. But with items such as apparel, rings, etc, we will have an updated policy regarding returns* that can better assure you that we’re willing to make sure you can enjoy your purchase. Previously, all of our apparel has been done in limited batches, which results in sizes being sold out quickly and making exchanges impossible. That’s changed. Apparel will now be getting produced in larger quantities, so there will be more flexibility when you’re purchasing, and should you need to return an item, too.
*returns will be accepted for exchanges or B&C Co. store credit, only.
3) Shipping Pricing:
Don't worry, Domestic Shipping will remain free, but we will begin offering Priority Mail too, which in coordination with our 48 hours fulfillment window, would mean your orders will arrive way quicker. Near the end of Q1, our friends in Europe will also be able to enjoy Free shipping on specific items, in addition to patches that already ship free. We're in the process of setting up warehousing in London, which will dispatch all Euro orders (excluding some items stocked in our US warehouse, which will be clearly noted).
4) Wholesale:
The wholesale demand has been insane and honestly a nightmare to try and keep up with on top of everything else I deal with. We're officially bringing on a couple sales reps, to help meet the demand we've had in the recent months. If you've emailed about wholesale and never received a response, rest assured, we've handed over your email to one of our reps to reach out to you at the first of the year.
I hope the changes coming to our shipping fulfillment will reassure some of you, and help maintain a better relationship between all of you & B&C Co.
I greatly appreciate each and every customer, so I want to start 2016 off with the ability to keep up with the demand we have, and be prepared for everything else that’s coming.
